About Us
| Mission Statement | To provide high quality, handcrafted & made-to-order items covering a wide array of product lines aimed at satisfying the most discerning tastes without the typical retail mark-up.

| About Our Founder | Michael Brill earned an BA in Chemistry with a minor in Business from Butler University, one of the top private institutions in the Midwest. In 1992, he earned an MBA from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University. His most recent job before starting Red Ridge Fine Furniture (formerly BEAR-ocious Woods) was Pricing & Strategy Manager at a 2-year old start-up company that specializes in underwriting maintenance contracts for telecom & data comm equipment. As a result of his creating a more user friendly, computer-based pricing program for the sales reps, forming strategic alliances with telecom & data comm maintenance vendors so the company could expand product coverage, and better analyzing and canceling poor performing customer contracts prior to renewal, profit margin improved significantly and sales increased from $5 million to over $17 million in just one year. Despite this success, Michael grew tired of all the politicking that goes on in the Corporate Business world so he decided to start his own business.

Because of Michael’s interest in and devotion to handmade wooden furniture, especially rustic log furniture, it was an easy task deciding what kind of company to start up. Since forming the Company in July, 2002, the business has been driven by 2 basic premises: "quality" and "the customer". In his pursuit of establishing the Company as a one-of-a-kind furniture dealer, Michael has and will continue to seek out unique, handmade furniture to add to his portfolio of product offerings and sell them at mark-ups that are considerably less than the industry standard.

Red Ridge Furniture Delivers the "Three R's"

There are few furniture companies who can deliver what Michael Brill of Red Ridge Fine Furniture can: Rustic, Recycled and Resort quality. These three R's allow the consumer to enjoy the comfort and familiarity of handmade log home type décor, in an upscale, Park City-like style. An added bonus is that a majority of his furniture uses only recycled barn wood or dead standing trees from the forest floor.

Brill's dedication to this one of-a-kind furniture is apparent - his focus is on providing every consumer with a quality product. His distinctive offerings are a crossover breed between rustic and luxurious, which simultaneously makes a house a home, and makes that home's interior a showpiece. From dining room tables to massive log beds - every item is handmade with an individual customer's needs in mind. With an impeccable eye for the details, Brill incorporates leather accents and wooden carvings to add personality and rich texture.

Whether you reside in an apartment in Manhattan or a sprawling resort in the Rockies, this furniture will welcome you home each day. Red Ridge Fine Furniture's durability and timelessness boasts a versatility and authenticity that makes these pieces certain to become the treasured antiques of tomorrow.

What's more, in this time of global deforestation and depletion of natural resources, Brill has continued to seek out vendors who harvest either dead standing trees, use recycled barn wood, or replenish cut plantation wood. His environmental awareness has translated into customer awareness, which has, in turn, helped to generate a rapidly expanding presence within the rustic furniture market.

Brill formed Red Ridge Fine Furniture in 2002, and has approximately 30 different product lines, including award winning teak and log furniture, traditional American and European lines, forged steel and hand dyed leather furniture and accessories, as well as slate and copper fountains.
